Overview

2012 Theme : Smartsourcing – The Prize is Elusive...But It’s Sure Worth the Effort!

Since its debut in 2008, the annual World BPO/ITO Forum has gone on to become the premier conference and thought leadership forum focusing on the sourcing and offshoring needs of mid to large size organizations in the US, and is tailored to “C” level executives and sourcing decision makers.

The topics at the conference provide real life insights from outsourcing/offshoring practitioners on what works and what doesn’t in a multi-vendor environment, as well as designed to create a dialog within senior management to leverage offshoring for their strategic imperatives. In addition, the conference will explore established and emerging global outsourcing destinations, and share best practices to successfully source, manage and deliver global services.

Why this event is important for the industry:

Many companies are exploring the right operating model to offer the full potential of such a win/win arrangement. The trouble is, it is vital to get this right the first time around. Companies cannot afford to simply accelerate current working practices, or to make strategic missteps in sourcing. During the good times, we could afford to learn from our mistakes, but during this economic downturn, it is more important to learn quickly from the experience of others. This is where the World BPO/ITO Forum can make a real difference—by enabling buyers and sellers of services to meet each other, and by encouraging experts to share insights in a friendly environment.

We welcome proposals on the following topics:

  • BPO 3.0: State of the Market and Future Projections
  • The Economic and Social Impact of Global Sourcing: Getting the Complete Picture
  • The Evolving Role of the CIO: From IT Cost Center Manager to Business Savvy C Suite Executive
  • Managing a Multi-Location Portfolio: Emerging Vs. Maturing Destinations
  • The Role of Cloud Services in Strategic Sourcing
  • Managed Services - A Case Study in What Works and What Doesn't Work
  • New Management Requirements for Sourcing Organization Alignment, Coordination and Integration
  • Evolving Role of Strategic Offshoring: From Cost Saving to Business Transformation
  • Creating Partnerships vs. Vendor Relationships in a Multi-Sourced Environment
  • Strategic Sourcing & Competitiveness: From a U.S. perspective
  • Verticalization is Key to Customization: A Paradigm Shift in the BPO Industry
  • Transitioning to a New Service Delivery Model While Minimizing Risks and Maximizing Opportunities
  • When and How to Develop and Use Business Outcome-Based Service Levels
  • Revolution Amidst Evolution: Key Game Changers for ITO and BPO
  • Metrics & Measurement: More Than Just a Performance Engagement Tool
